1910 Packard 30 - $210,000 - South Barrington,, IL -

A three owner car that was in a museum for 60 years.  The car was featured in the 2013 AACA 2013 calendar for the month of July.  Has received HPOF certification by AACA.

The engine was rebuilt by Joe MCNutt in the late 50's, and waseither run very little, or not at all.  The oil was clean and there was no discoloration in the crancase when I inspected it.  The car has a museum paint job, and all of the glass has been replaced with safety glass.  The varnished wood is in excellent condition, and the leather upholstery in the chauffer's compartment is the original with the expected amount of distress.  The upholstery in the passenger compartment is the original.  It is clean with some moth damage, but it is very useable.  The doors fit well and close and latch easily.  The windshield can be raised and stored above the driver.  The tires are old NonSkid, and have little if any tread wear, but they do have cracks in the rubber.  The wheels are solid and true with demountable rims.  The brass is the original C.T. Ham. the horn may be incorrect, and the tail light has a cracked lens.  The speedometer is working.  Early in it's life someone installed a motor meter temperature guage into the radiator cap.  The ignition was changed to a Bosch high tension with an A coil.  It works well enough for this car to start on compression about 8 out of 10 tries.  When it has to be cranked, 1/4 turn is all that is needed.  The car drives well, shifts easily both up and down, and the brakes are very good.  I own 5 model 30 Packards, and this is the best starting, running and driving of all of them.

The car has a new stainless steel gas tank, and there are some used Eismann ignition parts that go with the car.

This is a wonderful oportunity to aquire a very driveable HPOF car that will be the center of attention wherever you take it.  A lot of horsepower and comfort in grand style for the passengers.

We are proud to present an incredibly rare and beautiful 1953 Packard Caribbean convertible finished in classic white with matching leather interior. This striking automobile shows wonderfully after having just received a freshening of a prior full restoration and is ready to be enjoyed. From the dazzling chrome wire wheels, to the turbine smooth straight-eight engine, this automobile is impressive. One cannot help but be struck by the bold styling of the Caribbean convertible, a truly fantastic looking design achievement. 1953 was a year of many firsts for Packard; it was the first year for the exclusive Caribbean convertible, and it was the first year of Packard’s revolutionary torsion bar suspension which has since been copied in some way by nearly every other car maker. It was also the introduction of a new and vastly improved automatic transmission called the Ultramatic. Before its unfortunate demise, Packard made some of the most stylish and technically advanced cars ever created, but its many innovations help make it one of the most sought after and collectible cars existing today. In fact, according to Knight Frank's Wealth Report, classic cars were the top-performing collectible asset with prices surging 23-percent in the 12-months ending in the third quarter of 2012, and posting gains of 395-percent over 10-years. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for more information on this gorgeous automobile. They will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, supply you with a more detailed description, and answer any questions you may have. 1950 Packard Custom 8 - Inquire - Long Beach, CA -

Packard 1950 convertible, very rare Model #2359, one of 77 built, probably less than 20 in existence, 60,000 original miles, complete & restorable (restored value approx. $200,000). This was Packard’s most rare and expensive post-war model, hence the number built. 127-inch wheelbase chassis with special springs and shock absorbers for a smooth ride. Ultramatic In-line Eight engine, 356 cu in, 160 horsepower. Includes extra parts, doors, complete convertible top and a 1948-50 parts car (rust-free body panels, floor pan, etc). Bargain $$$, please call: J.C. Taylor, 562-208-1762 cell, CA.

HISTORY: Packard's most expensive model again with the Custom Convertible Victoria. Body No. 2359-5, which has a base price of $4,520. A truly luxurious car, it appears that it ws just too expensive. As a result, only 77 were built. As before, the Customs used the same 127-inch wheelbase chassis as the Super Eights, but with special springs and shock absorbers to improve an already smooth ride4. The engine remained the old but excellent in-line Eight of 356 cubic inches, rates at 160 horsepower at 3600 rpm (some sources continue to show 165 hp at 3600 rpm). It was stated that with Ultramiatic, the car would use only 2,488 engine revolutions per mile of travel. The all-power top and interior was by a closed hydraulic system operated by a central electrically-powered pump. Buyers had a choice of an all-leather interior or one with Before cord seat inserts.

1940 PACKARD 180 FORMAL SEDAN TOWN CAR

FROM THE COLLECTION OF JIM HOLLINGSWORTH, THE AUTHOR OF “1940 PACKARD'S!”

TOWN CAR CONVERSION PERFORMED AT A COST OF $80,000!

FULL CCCA CLASSIC STATUS!

356-CUBIC-INCH STRAIGHT-8/160 HORSEPOWER!

REAR DIVIDER GLASS!

A MAGNIFICENT CUSTOM COACH-BUILT CLASSIC!

Of the 76,927 vehicles Packard produced in 1940, the ultra-luxurious 180-Series cars numbered only 1,900. Of those 1,900, only two Formal Sedan Town Cars are known to exist. This incredible car comes from the collection of Jim Hollingsowrth, the author of “1940 Packard"s,” and preeminent Packard expert. Upon acquiring this car in 1977, Mr. Hollingsworth decided to recreate the storied Rollston conversions of long past and transform this Formal Sedan into an All Weather Cabriolet, otherwise known as the Town Car. The painstaking work was performed by Jimi Ala at a cost of $80,000 and upon its completion, Mr. Hollingsworth was satisfied that his end product was indistinguishable from the original Rollston cars. The car comes with documentation of the work performed and signed affidavit by Mr. Hollingsworth. This is one of the most extensively documented and pedigreed Packard"s available anywhere. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for more information. They will be happy to give you a complete walk-around, supply you with a more detailed description, and answer any questions you may have. Buy with confidence – for over 40 years Daniel Schmitt & Co. has built an unrivaled reputation by uniting the world"s finest motorcars with those who treasure them.

1952 Packard 200 Deluxe

This example is a 200 Deluxe.  The Packard 200 Deluxe, for 1952, had some additional points of distinction.  It was provided with the toothy-type grille; three jet louvers on the rear quarter of the body and chrome wheel trim rings.  It had all Packard 200 features plus foam rubber front seat cushions; turn indicators; glovebox lamp; and electric clock.

We feel we have the nicest 1952 Packard available for sale.  Very hi-end professional restoration, top to bottom, inside and out.  From the engine bay where the 327 CID Thunderbolt straight 8 is housed, to the interior, utterly flawless dash dials, gauges, etc. are perfect and devoid any delamenation or pitting and all are in working order (excluding the clock).  Body is very straight and solid refinished in its original Gallant Green.  All chrome and stainless have been polished and replated, all look new.  The underside (check out the pictures) is rock solid.  The car has evidently been stored, pampered and cared for for many years.

1954 Packard Cavalier - $15,000 - SILVER SPRING, MD -

1954 Packard Cavalier 4-door sedan:  Partially restored 1954 Cavalier 4-door sedan with Packard Air.  When new, this Cavalier was top of the line.  Body work is done.  Engine and transmission rebuilt. Restorer is John Scales of Packard Motorcar Service, Inc.  John has all the parts to this Packard.  He has possession of this Packard in his facility in Agawam, MA.  Due to financial circumstances I no longer can proceed with this restoration.  Ideally, John Scales can complete this project for the right person.  I am asking $15K, far less than what has been invested already.  Contact info:  Email:  FierceCelt@gmail.com.  Phone:  301 267-6640.  Call or email at your leisure.
